2025 FGRA annual meeting

The 2025 FGRA annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the park near the FGRA tennis courts. Bring a chair unless you want to sit on the grass (and an umbrella if needed). Come and meet your neighbors, hear a review of the past year’s activity and expenses, discuss topics of neighborhood interest, and share ideas for the coming year.

While the final agenda is not set, the board is exploring the possibility of two presentations at this meeting:

-- A review of the local transportation issues, including a traffic study conducted earlier this year by the city that could result in some changes designed to reduce vehicle speed along Poplar Avenue.

-- Information on the county's Wildfire Partners rebate program for residential mitigation projects.

Once we know whether the information and presenters will be available on our meeting date, we will send a second email with details.

There are no items on the meeting agenda for which a vote is planned. But in the unlikely event a vote is called for, and you cannot attend, you have the option to submit a proxy form (see below) to allow someone in attendance to vote on your behalf.

Annual Dues Notice 2024

Dear FGRA Member,

Association dues for the 2024 calendar year are due June 1. Please pay your dues by May 1 if possible to save the FGRA and its members the cost of mailing a dues notice to you.

The amount is $280 per lot or living unit, a 5.7 percent increase from the previous year. Dues cover costs such as utilities, maintenance, improvements, property management and insurance.

Membership in the FGRA is not optional and is not based on whether you use the commonly owned areas such as the tennis/pickleball courts. All owners of property in Forest Glen 1st and 2nd Filings are members.

The FGRA Board encourages you to pay your dues electronically if your bank supports transfers via Zelle.

To pay with Zelle from your bank’s website:

• Enter the payee as [email protected].
• Enter the payment amount of $280 per lot or living unit.
• Please choose a payment date of May 1, 2024 or earlier.
• In the memo area, please note the street address of your Forest Glen property.

This is the announcement of the 2023 FGRA Annual Meeting, to be held on Saturday October 7th at 3:00 PM at the park near the FGRA tennis courts.  Bring a chair unless you want to sit on the grass (and an umbrella if needed).
 
Come and meet your neighbors, hear a review of the past year’s activity and expenses, discuss topics of neighborhood interest, and share ideas for the coming year.
 
There are no items on the meeting agenda for which a vote is planned.  But in the unlikely event a vote is called for, and you cannot attend, you have the option to submit a proxy form (see below) to allow someone in attendance to vote on your behalf.
 
There is at least one seat available on the FGRA Board of Directors. If you’d like to be part of the FGRA decision-making, consider nominating yourself. The Board meets only 2 or 3 times per year, as most decisions are made via email.

​The annual FGRA dues amount for 2023 is $265, due by June 1, 2023. It will save the cost of mailing notices to you if we receive payment by May 7. You can mail your $265 check, made out to FGRA, to:

The 2022 FGRA dues notice has just been emailed to everybody for whom we have an email address. Dues for this year are $240 per household, which amounts to a $5/month increase, primarily to cover the cost of paying off the loan portion of the cost of rebuilding the tennis courts last year. Please help us save time and trees by paying before May 1, which avoids the need for us to send you a paper notice as well. Thanks!

Please help us save time and trees by paying before May 1, which avoids the need for us to send you a paper notice as well. Thanks!

Dear FGRA Members,
Please join us for the 2020 Forest Glen Recreational Association Annual Meeting, Tuesday August 18 at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the FGRA park near the tennis courts. (Please bring a chair. We’re asking that you sit at least 6’ apart and wear masks.) We'll review the past year and plans for the coming year. In particular, we'll discuss our analysis of maintenance options for the tennis courts. We'll also elect board members, so consider volunteering to join the Board if you'd like to be part of FGRA decision-making. Come meet your neighbors and discuss any topics of neighborhood interest that you'd like to bring up! If you have any questions, please send them to [email protected].
